Scart Cable

If your looking for a nice budget scart cable to go with your TV then you can't go wrong with the Philex Thor Scart Cable.  It won the What Hifi award for the best scart under £50.  Can be had cheaply over at Amazon, or surprising B&Q for under £20.

If your in doubt whether it will make a difference over the free 'el cheapo' cable your currently using, from my experience yes it will.  Granted its not a huge difference, and most people infact probably would not notice.  But personally the things that I noticed are; colours were more saturated( in particular reds), sound gave clearer high frequencies, and I also stopped getting what appeared to be interference on some channels.  If your spending a load of money on a TV and AV kit, then you should really treat your TV to a decent cable.  You setup is only as good as your weekest link.

Take a look at the pics below, I'll also add some test shots up soon.

Here are the test shots so you can make your own mind up, and you will find in most circumstances you will not notice the difference.

Camera was set to manual with shutter speed and aperture values of the camera kept the same on all shots.  The Source is Sky Digital (Standard Def).

The shots for the Thor always come first.

As you can see from the above shots, there isn't much in it, but in certain circumstance the Thor does come out on top, including sound performance.  I think for £20 it is worth peace of mind that your getting a better picture, but not the huge difference some suppliers/manufacturers would have you believe.
